ABOUT THE WEBSITE

"Pochemuchka" was created after I realized I lacked a creative outlet since taking a break from art. I needed a way to express myself without having my friends and family push me to do, and with coding a website, I could hide it from others fairly easily. The anonymity of the world wide web gave me an opportunity, and I took it. It's a reflection me, the things I love, the aesthetics of my home and self for others to see without attaching my face to it. A persona, campy and authentic in its ways.

The website has morphed a lot since I made it! The new gothic style is inspired by how I dress and how my home looks, which is a lot of black, orange, purple and white. I'm still fixing it up, but I hope to have the site look exactly how I want it soon enough.

About Me

My name is Chandler, I'm 23 years old and work at a nonprofit with dogs. When I'm home, I enjoy exploring nu-metal and goth artists on spotify and bandcamp, thrifting, and playing Disco Elysium. I go strictly by they/them pronouns. I live with my boyfriend and three cats, named Orpheus (tuxedo tom, 4 years), Theseus (black tom, 3 yrs) and Tiberius a.k.a. Tibbie (grey tabby tom, roughly 17 weeks as of July 30th). Some fun facts: I've been sober for over a year as well as haven't touched a cigarette in over a year, I get easily bored with hobbies and drop them, but tend to come back after a while, and I love starting anew.

Fashion-wise, I consider my clothes alternative, not really belonging to one subculture, but I draw a lot of inspiration from 2000s mall goths. I wear a lot of black skirts and black t-shirts, though I'm slowly expanding my band tee collection. I also love wearing chains and earrings, most copper or gold and with a lot of moth imagery.
