Alexander Pushkin, Prologue to Ruslan and Lyudmila
Continental map of Lukomorye. Although the 'nation' takes up the top right corner, the continent has yet to be fully explored or named.
Lukomorye
'Lukomorye' is the name given to a group of five to six nations on a southern continent by travelers from other plains. 'Discovered' roughly 2000 years ago, most history of original inhabitants of Lukomorye has been lost, and any information on the continent, world, and societies has yet to reveal anything other than the smallest glimpses of daily life. What remains are two planar portals to the north of the inhabited coast; one to Faerun, opening near Snowdown and one on Earth, although this portal has not been in working condition for 500 years.
Most inhabitants have adopted the term Lukomorye after finding ruins written in a language matching Common. Although taking on the name of a nation, Lukomorye has five principalities controlled by princes and relatives of the King and Queen of Lukomorye. Lukomorye True is the seat of Lukomorye due north of the southern most principalities Smoyi Gron and Lidtka. To the west is Catemir, though no ruler is known. The East has Yublia, and just south of that is Grisha. Directly south of Lukomorye true is Iasemi, and further south Smoyi Gron. West of Smoyi Gron is Lidtka, whose leader is also not known. A lake situated between Lidtka, Smoyi Gron and Iasemi houses the island village of Korokhan, controlled by the Lich Koschei the Deathless.
